London to Sydney 2013

In 2013 we are planning to ship a container from Colnbrook (Heathrow), London, to Sydney, Australia.

Your Bike will be strapped down in one of our “MKII” cradles. Your panniers, top boxes and tank bags will be carried in the container with your Bike. You can carry all your personal effects in your panniers. No hazardous or flammable goods can be carried. Your helmets, riding gear and spare tires may be strapped to your bike. If you supply a robust coat hanger, we may even be able to hang up your leathers!

The shipping price includes all documentation, Customs and Quarantine clearance and inspection, both in Australia and the U.K. Container hire, packing, loading, unloading, seafreight and insurance under Marine Cover Insurance, clause “A”, which covers transit damage to Motorcycle and accessories whilst under voyage only. (An excess of $500 is the Motorcycle owners’ responsibility)

  Please note. The maximum width for a standard size bike is 850mm. 

A small storage charge may be levied by the freight Terminal Operators in Sydney or Heathrow (Colnbrook) for late pick up  or early drop off of Motorcycles. This is  payable directly to the Terminal Operator.

Shipping Depot addresses will be advised to Clients on 1st February 2014. Details of a bike wash facility close to the Sydney Depot will be given at this time.

We strongly advise you to ensure you are rested and have recovered from your flight from the U.K. before you pick up your Bike. Public transport details to the Depot in Sydney will be provided.

Upon arrival in Australia your Motorcycle will need to be inspected by both Customs and the Australian Quarantine Inspection Service (AQIS).

Australian Customs and AQIS must have access to all compartments of your Motorcycle.

Your Motorcycle and riding gear, including boots and helmets, must be immaculately clean. Particular attention must be paid to the underside of your Bike. AQIS will check the underside of your mudguards, engine and frame, as well as the front of the engine and any radiators or oil cooler. Your boots will be checked as well. All your gear and equipment must be free of mud, grass, dirt or insects. 

You must have your Passport with you when you pick up your Bike.
